Our instructors are highly skilled or
professional seamstresses. They offer various levels of classes to
challenge and inspire their students. Each class offers techniques
that will assist the student in achieving the class project. These
techniques can then be applied to other projects the student wishes to
undertake. Take a look at our offerings. We are sure you
will find a class that is "just right" for you!

classes offered from July 2008 thru September 2008.

dates, times, fees and instructors.
LADIES! It has been mentioned on several
occasions that students and teachers are becoming ill as a result of
perfume in the classroom. PLEASE do not wear fragrances to class.

If you love to hand
appliqué, beginner or expert, and would like to spend some time away
from the phone, we’re setting some time aside for you here at Sun Valley
Quilts. Gather up your projects and have fun visiting with others who
share the same passion of appliqué.
Date: 1st
Thursday of the month
(Jul 3, Aug 7, Sept 4)
In September we will
be learning applique in the embroidery machine. This is for either a
combo machine (both sewing and embroidery) or the stand alone embroidery
machine. In September we will use embroidery machines ONLY. In October
we will be using sewing machines ONLY, to complete this very cute
Halloween wall hanging.

Join us in the cool classroom the 3rd Thursday morning of the
month to make one of the hot new bags that everyone enjoys. Whether you
make the bags for yourself, for someone special, or as a “just in case”
gift you can have fun, learn new techniques and meet some great people.
Join us to discover the fun in making bags and become one of the Sun
Valley “Bag Ladies“.. What would you like a bit of “help“ with? Join
in on the fun and we will see what we can do . Check in each month…we
try to set the pattern at least 2 months ahead, so the sample can be up
at least a month ahead, but our goal is to keep this flexible for all
of you.. July pattern Miranda Day Bag. A pattern required for each
month’s selection.

New beginners are always
welcome in this hand appliqué class This ongoing club is
popular as individuals learn skills from beginning to advanced while
creating beautiful blocks. We are continuously reviewing each skill to
cover all levels of experience. Redwork Ladies are joining us.
We will also focus on embroidery stitches!

Gordon will substitute while Debbie is on vacation.
On September 5 we will be creating our own “Simply chic Caryall”. While
making this bag we will be working with zippers, plastic, ruffler
attachment, and many other techniques. We will be creating the main bag
and then we will make the organizer which can either stand alone or be
added to the main bag. Come join us. This is a club for all brands of
machines.

Looking for
interesting, unusual, challenging blocks/quilt? The Dear Jane quilt
should be your choice. Learn paper-piecing, applique, making templates
and more. The patterns are all made for your convenience…just follow
cutout directions and sew. Fun to do. No classes during the summer
months.
Date: 2nd Tuesday of each month
(No Classes During Summer Months)
I
have a very fun class planned for you. We will be using a multi hooping
design that is available to you from Embroidery Online. The design you
need to download is Vivian which is an adorable two part fish.
You can put her on a shirt back, tote bag, or just a small wall
hanging. And, of course, you will need to add your own bling.
