Thimbleberries fabric, books and patterns. In this fun and growing club

Many years ago Jenny
Haskins created an appliqué quilt that was called “The Color Purple
Quilt” and now she has created a quilt titled “Beyond the Color Purple
Quilt” which used embroidery, decorative stitches and quilting
techniques. This is not a difficult quilt so if you have been wanting
to jump into embroidery with both feet, then you need to join this
group. This is a beginners class, that is not to say it is easy
but you will be successful.
I
am so excited as we start a new book and format. You will get to choose
the size of blocks that you’d like to make each month. Make them all
6”, 9”, 12” or a variety. You may choose to make the blocks that I’m
teaching each month or make whatever block you would like from the
book. I’ll be happy to help you. When you get your book, Block
Magic by Nancy Johnson-Srebro, you will go through it and make a
list of the blocks you would like to make, choose the fabrics you would
like to use, and then I suggest checking the block list on my supply
list and making the blocks you choose, the months we will be making them
together. If you don’t want what we’re focusing on that month, just
bring your block precut that you do want to make. I love this quilt.
You may choose to take the blocks and make smaller quilts, table
runners, potholders, or placements when you have a few blocks done. You
may join this group at any time. Think about joining us after finishing
the beginning quilting classes to continue practicing your new skills
