This series of classes is more difficult than Software Techniques. Designed by Bernina, we will teach you project based techniques using more than one part of the software. It is fast paced but interesting. It will increase your knowledge of integrating the various parts of the software together to create one project. This is not a sewing class and all the work will be on your laptop with Designer Plus 8.2 loaded. Some familiarity with the software will be useful. A printout of the exact steps to produce the project and a copy of the video will be available to be loaded onto a USB stick, the student's own or one may be purchased at the Bernina desk for $12.99 October - Creating a Logo November - Multihooping December - No Class January - Choosing Art for Digitizing February - Stumpwork March - Digitizing Cutwork April - Cross Stitch May - Mixed Media

The techniques are taught from the Designer Plus manual so supplemental purchases are not required. Each of the 37 blocks in this book has a double, albeit with different fabric placement. Design your own quilt/table runner/wall hanging or quilt with the blocks of your choice for a totally unique project. You will not be making all of the blocks shown in the book (unless you always like to make king size quilts and feel cheated if you don't take advantage of everything in the book!) In other words, don't feel obligated to make a quilt the size of the classroom sample. Blocks are make by straight piecing and paper piecing and finish at 12". Come to class for color ideas, tips on piecing, to socialize or just to have a boost to complete the quilt. You will not regret owning this book as it is full of fabulous ideas.
