Rulers Can Quilt – Advanced Class (May through August)
The June class will continue with UFO’s, unless you wish to take advantage of the Circles and Straights tool that was recently featured on our website by Sew Steady instructor: Donelle McAdams. I will answer questions you may have after the virtual lesson; or teach you in-person how to create this wonderful table topper. The only extra notion you will need to buy is the “Circles and Straights” tool that our shop carries. This tool can be used in so many ways –(i.e the center of Dresden Plates, applique techniques, or this woven look in a table topper.) Any size circle can be produced and no previous ruler experience will be needed to create the circle. (The ruler work will come after the circle is made). Come join us for either a lesson in circles, or ruler work on your own project. Be sure to pick up the supply list at the front counter.
The summer months of this class will see participants working on their own quilting projects; from place mats to full quilts, if that is what they wish to do.
This monthly class on each 4th Wednesday will feature students using what they have learned after the beginner’s ruler class in order to complete their own distinctive projects. Design components and unique ways to use the ruler templates will be a part of the process.
Come and enjoy the social atmosphere and the sense of accomplishment as you finish up your UFO’s.
