QCT-QM-QP 300 – Hands-on at the Longarm – Gold Features Lab
Half Day (3 hours): Gold features add another level of design options, customization, time-saving techniques, and precision to your automated quilting. Please select your choice of AM or PM Session.
Morning Session will start at 9:00 and the Afternoon Session at 1:15
Lunch for both morning and afternoon students will take place between 12:30 and 1:00
Taught by Joyce Blowers, this class offers students the opportunity to work hands-on at the frame to learn the most used Gold features. Students will work lab style, three students per frame working together to plan, design, place and stitch on a real quilt top. Joyce will guide you through the process, watch over your shoulder, and help you through each step offering pointers and tips for success with these features. Class will begin with a short classroom session for basic instruction and to cover lab procedures. You will be standing at the frame, so wear comfortable shoes.

- Point-to-Point

- Pattern eClipse
- Fabric Compensation
- Other used: Marking Tool, Insta Place, using a mouse to mark points, End-Point Adjust
Come eager to learn these awesome features. Leave class with confidence to use the Gold features on your next quilt for new layers of customization.
Level: Confident Beginner/Intermediate and above, either ready to use or already using Gold
Class Supplies: Tablet with software, charging cord, stylus helpful (frames will be supplied with SVQ tablet, stylus and mouse)
Software Requirement:
- QCT: Ver 5 or 6+ or higher
- Quiltmagine: Ver 5 or 6
- Quilt Path: Ver 5 or 6 (includes all features including Gold)
Note: Classes are open to students regardless of the tier they own. Classes are the perfect opportunity to learn how to use features in a higher tier using demo mode (not the same as simulation mode). Work in demo mode, however, can’t be saved or stitched.

| Skill Details: | This class has been geared towards confident, but still learning, users of QCT software. If you are a new user or currently contemplating buying the software or upgrading from Beginnings to Pro, this class will leap frog you ahead of the hunt and peck learning curve. |
| Requirements: | All students should be users of QCT or similar software. Software should be loaded on a working laptop or tablet and all Windows and QCT updates should be current before class begins. All students will be asked to complete and return a pre-class questionaire so that Joyce can be best prepared to teach to the level of the registered students. The curriculum has been designed to maximize learning of the software! This class is designed for students who are using Quilter's Creative Touch 6, QuiltMagine, QuiltPath, or similar software. We will not be able to offer refunds after March 7th unless we can fill your spot. |

| Instructor Bio: | A former high school teacher, Joyce, owner of Delightful Quilting & Sewing, is a dealer for Nolting Longarm / Quiltmagine and IntelliQuilter and teaches both automation systems. Joyce and husband Ron authored "Guide to Quilting with Your Nolting." Joyce is also known for her Tech Tuesday live Facebook videos and her online, hands-on automation classes. She enjoys the design process of computer guided quilting and using the functions in creative ways to achieve her design goals. "It isn't as much about creativity, but discovering and using the features in QCT/QM to their maximum advantage." |
