QCT, Quiltmagine, Quilt Path Fundamentals - Two Day Class
This beginner-friendly, two-day hands-on course offers a thorough introduction to automation basics. Participants will learn about quilting blocks and pantographs, and get acquainted with essential features to start their automation quilting experience confidently. The class features technique demonstrations at the frame using a panel tailored for automation fundamentals, an inspiring “show and tell” slideshow, and a dedicated Q&A session.
Bring to class:
- Tablet or laptop with automation loaded, charging cord. Teaching QCT Version 5 Beginnings/Pro and V6+/Pro, QM Version 5 & 6 Basic/Pro, Quilt Path Version 5 & 6
- Mouse recommended
- Notebook/pen or pencil (handout provided)
- Show and tell, completed project or one you would like help with
Class will cover:
- Setting up the tablet to work best with the software
- Cover basics, such as Safe Area, WYSIWYG, Settings, and Options
- Select and Sew, block placement, fill options, easy customization, margin
- Pantograph Power Panto, design and customize edge-to-edge pantos
- Pantograph Basic mode, design borders and sashing
- Pantograph Quilting Interface and Zone Stitching, zone manager settings and options, “marking” the quilt options, advancing the quilt, marking the next zone
- QM Basic and QCT V5 Beginnings and V6+ Tier Owners: set up and design edge-to-edge pantos (Pro Tier owners will learn Advanced Panto mode)
- Essential must know features: Marking Tool, Pattern Repair, Ruler, Import
- Introduction to features and advantages of Gold

| Requirements: | All students should be users of QCT or similar software. Software should be loaded on a working laptop or tablet and all Windows and QCT updates should be current before class begins. All students will be asked to complete and return a pre-class questionaire so that Joyce can be best prepared to teach to the level of the registered students. The curriculum has been designed to maximize learning of the software! This class is designed for students who are using Quilter's Creative Touch 5, QCT6, QuiltMagine, QuiltPath, or similar software. We will not be able to offer refunds after March 1, 2026 unless we can fill your spot. |

| Instructor Bio: | A former high school teacher, Joyce, owner of Delightful Quilting & Sewing, is a dealer for Nolting Longarm / Quiltmagine and IntelliQuilter and teaches both automation systems. Joyce and husband Ron authored "Guide to Quilting with Your Nolting." Joyce is also known for her Tech Tuesday live Facebook videos and her online, hands-on automation classes. She enjoys the design process of computer guided quilting and using the functions in creative ways to achieve her design goals. "It isn't as much about creativity, but discovering and using the features in QCT/QM to their maximum advantage." |
