Bags: Stitchers Suitcase & Feathered Friends

Does your Featherweight or small sewing machine need a beautiful bag for storage and travel? Join us for a fun 4-session class where you’ll create the Stitchers Suitcase along with several coordinating Feathered Friends accessories.

The Stitchers Suitcase is a large, roomy rectangular bag designed to carry and protect your sewing machine. We’ll spend approximately two and a half days creating the suitcase, then use the remaining class time to make the coordinating accessories.

The Feathered Friends collection includes smaller accessory bags, a protective pocket for the arm of your Featherweight that can also be used as a convenient thread catcher, and a custom mat to place your machine on. The pocket attaches directly to the mat, making this set both practical and portable.

You’ll also discover some fun new details and techniques that add a fresh twist to Annie’s usual step-by-step construction methods.

And don’t think these bags are only for sewing machines! Both the Stitchers Suitcase and Feathered Friends can be used in so many ways. Take them along as a carry-on for travel, use them as project bags for retreats, or create your own storage solution for sewing and crafting supplies.

You must come to class with your fabrics quilted using the instructions included in the pattern.   I also suggest that you make a copy of the labels that are in the pattern or print them from the add on video site so they can be cut and put on your pieces.
