Embroidery: Autumn Projects

Come join Lauri for a fun-filled day of embroidery as you create one of two adorable Beach Potato projects! Choose between the festive Autumn Tote or the Secretly Spooky Table Runner. Both projects are full of personality and make a wonderful addition to your fall décor or a fun accessory for the season.


The Autumn Tote is made from 5 panels featuring embroidered designs and/or appliqués, plus quilting. The zipper pocket is made in the hoop. Sewing is required to join the panels, add the cork bottom, create and attach fabric handles, and construct the bag with a lining. Finished bag is 14 x 13” plus handles. The kit includes fabrics for the outer bag, straps, and lining (quilting cotton, cork, plus glitter, leather, and cotton for the appliqués). Also included are the zipper and a USB with project instructions and designs in common embroidery formats. Kit fabrics are numbered with some sub-cutting required. If you prefer to select your own fabrics, the design can be purchased without the kit.

The Secretly Spooky Tablerunner is has with glittery-eyed owls in their Halloween best. If 68 ½ x 12 inches is too long, use fewer blocks or omit sashing. Individual project elements (applique blocks, quilted blocks, sashing, and star point flying geese) are made and quilted in the hoop. Sewing is required to assemble and finish the project. Kits include all fabrics for the blocks, applique, and binding, plus a USB stick with instructions and designs in common embroidery formats. Kit fabrics are numbered with some sub-cutting required. (Kit fabrics may not be the same as the shop sample.) If you want to select your own fabrics, the design is available without the kit. During class, at least one of each project technique will be completed, there won’t be enough time to complete the full project.
