2901: Bright Lights, Big City Quilt
This scrappy traditional quilt was inspired by the designers experiences in New York City. Keeping your options open, letting ideas, memories, colors and tools collide into this project using up to 150 fabrics and making them live in harmony together to express joy!
Required book: Double Wedding Ring Quilts by Victoria Findlay Wolfe and the sample in the classroom is on page 36 of the required book. However, you may choose any of the patterns in this wonderful book to work on in class. Go scrappy with your fabrics or choose a more controlled palette. You are encouraged to stretch your imagination and perhaps try a technique or two that you haven’t done before. The patterns in this book use paper-piecing, templates, and even slashed fabric if you wish.
